The Peshawar Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education was established in 1961 as the National Army Invalids Foundation that conducted matriculation exams up until 1958. The responsibility to manage these examinations are on an appointed commission by the Ministry Of Education but due to increasing numbers every year it becomes difficult for one body alone can arrange this so they were subdivided into some other educational boards which include KPK’s own Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province board.
